The Details
To become a registered member of Springfield Skatepark, first you must join the Springfield Skatepark Association (SSA). Members of SSA will get to ride for only $5 a session, and will also get to vote at SSA meetings.
Membership costs is $25 a year.
Non-members are allowed to use the Skatepark only after filing a waiver form and filling out personal information that can be used in case of an accident to contact parent/family. Non-members pay $10 a session.
Pick up and fill out a membership form or download one on the left. Bring the form and $25 to the park to register and sign your waiver. If you are under 18, you must bring a parent to sign the waiver in person. No one will be allowed to skate without a signed waiver on file. NO EXCEPTIONS!

- Safety Gear: All riders must wear helmets ($1 session rental) Riders 12 and under must wear pads ($1 session rental)
- Waivers: Parents must sign if member is under 18 (Riders 6 and under must be accompanied by a parent)
- Check-in: Everyone must check in when entering/re-entering park
Rules
- Participants will respect the authority of the Park Supervisor and Staff at all times.
- Riders must sign-in and wear required safety gear.
- No food, drinks, personal property, or spectators in skate area. No waxing. No opening of exit doors unless emergency.
- No weapons, drugs, alcohol, or smoking on premises. Persons under influence of drugs or alcohol will be asked to leave.
- No vandalism of Skatepark property. No loitering after hours.
- Persons who break the rules, fight, harass others, steal, spit, curse, disrespect the Skatepark or the rights of others may be expelled.
- Scooters and Heelys-type roller shoes are not permitted
Disciplinary Procedures
- Park Supervisor will have the authority to expel a participant for the remainder of the day for failure to comply with policy.
- Park Supervisor may present problems to the Board of Directors for longer expulsions or other disciplinary action.
- Anyone caught stealing, trespassing, or vandalizing Skatepark property will be prosecuted.
Other
- If the temperature at the park exceeds 95° we will close until the temperature drops, usually by 7:00 PM.
- There is a maximum capacity of 75 riders inside the park. If there arr 75 riders using the park, you will be asked to wait until someone leaves before entering.
